How would you rather rate your overall experience of something?

With a πŸ‘ / πŸ‘Ž rating (2 options) or with πŸ˜„ / 😐 / 😠 (3 options)?

It depends on what I'm rating.

I feel like πŸ‘πŸ‘Ž would work well if I'm likely to have either a positive or negative experience. I think that's the case for something where you generally have a non-neutral expectation. For example if I go on holiday that experience is usually non-neutral (i.e. positive or negative). Same for watching a movie. Etc. Maybe negative expectations too like going to the dentist. It's likely πŸ‘Ž, but if it's not negative then we'll experience it as positive (πŸ‘). Generally we wouldn't consider it neutral. (Except when it becomes routine.)

For something that can have a neutral experience (something less exciting, routines, etc) the πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ˜  might make more sense. That said, I would research the feelings people associate with those specific emoji. For example the middle one doesn't feel neutral to me. Feels negative/sad/perplexed. The last one feels angry. Not all negative experiences are anger.

You could also combine it like so: πŸ‘ŽπŸ˜ΆπŸ‘

We decided to not use emoji at all in this case! Rather have clear answers with text.

Thanks everyone for your answers πŸ‘πŸΌοΈ
